Dangerous Decibels

This afternoon we went to a lesson about hearing called dangerous decibels. It was about keeping your hearing healthy and in good condition. We got to use decibel metres and see how loud some of the concerts and activities you do really are. One thing that I learned was that fish, frogs and birds can re-grow their hearing hairs. I found out that a rock concert is 120 decibels and that normal conversation is 60 decibels you can see the difference. I also learned what being def is like. It is not just noise getting quieter it is the noise changing and not sounding clear. We did a few experiments one was we used a tuning fork and banged it on the floor then we pressed it against a ping pong ball to see what energy was created by sound.
